The nickel-plated temperature sensor in the colour shiny black from Bitspower is an easy way to keep an eye on the water temperature of a water cooling system. To do this, the sensor, which has a sealing ring, is screwed into a G1/4" thread, whereby an internal extension then measures the temperature of the surrounding water. With a 90cm long 2-pin cable, the sensor can be connected to a display or control unit or to a compatible motherboard. This allows, for example, the rotation speed of radiator fans to be automatically controlled depending on the water temperature. The new Alphacool Eisblock XPX Aurora CPU water cooler offers fantastic performance thanks to the patented ramp design as well as boasting excellent quality. The new Aurora design in combination with the addressable digital RGB illumination offers many possibilities for outstanding illumination of the CPU water block. Performance in abundance! Alphacool already developed and patented new flow technology for the first Alphacool Eisblock XPX series. The so-called "ramp system" ensures an even flow of water inside the cooler and sits in front of the diffuser plate. This ensures that the water is pressed evenly through the diffuser plate, which in turn pushes the water evenly over the cooling base. The cooling channels on the CPU cooler base has also been enlarged to a proud 34 x 32 mm to accommodate the ever-growing CPU DIEs. This is especially true for multi-core processors with 4, 6, 8 or even 12 and more CPU cores. So that the heat from the CPU can be transferred to the water as quickly as possible. 81 cooling fins can be found on the cooling plate to ensure maximum heat diffusion. The fin structure has been reduced to just 0.2 mm in order to create the largest possible surface area in the smallest possible space. And the lighting? All new Eisblock XPX Aurora Plexi CPU waterblocks come with addressable digital RGB lighting. The aRGB LEDs are integrated directly into the CPU water cooler and run once around the entire cooling block. With up to 15 digital RGB LEDs the entire CPU block is evenly and intensively lit. Of course, the brightness can be controlled by an appropriate controller. And as with all aRGB LED products all known effects can be created. From simple colour changes to wave effects and rainbow lighting, everything is possible. Of course, the Alphacool Eisblock Aurora coolers can also be connected and controlled via mainboards using the standard 3-pin 5V connector. The cable also has an integrated Y-adapter. This makes it easy to connect further Alphacool Aurora products in series without having to order separate Y-adapters. Extension cables may be needed if you want to connect the products in series, depending on the size of the case. Is installation difficult? Mounting the Eisblock XPX Aurora Plexi cooler is simple. The backplate is simply attached to the mainboard from behind. The mounting frame for the AMD or Intel socket is clamped to the cooler and the corresponding mounting screws are pre-attached to this frame. Next, you simply apply thermal paste and you attach the cooler using the screws. Please note: Remove the protective foil on the cooler base before use! Unique Aurora Design The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Plexi differs only slightly from its predecessor Alphacool Eisblock XPX. The lower part of the Eisblock Aurora Plexi is not made of acrylic, but of transparent nylon. This means it is almost impossible that the holder or the high temperature fluctuations during operation will cause the plexi to crack or fracture. The upper part of the cooler houses the integrated digital addressable RGB LEDs. A separate RGB frame like the predecessor Eisblock XPX is no longer necessary. Reinvent the tube The Eisbecher Series consist of 20 different reservoirs that differ between usage, measurement and appearance. There are ten reservoirs within this series that consist of 99% plexi - totally unique! But the main difference between these reservoirs is within the functionality of the different sockets. Constituents Bubble DownIt is placed at the bottom of the reservoir to prevent turbulences that could lead air into the watercircle. Lighttower StandpipeThe "Lighttower" effect creates an astounding visual experience within every watercooling system. The Eisbecher supports this in two different ways: fluid coming from the bottom and coming from the top. The water is being led through the standpipe to the bottom or to the top where it splashes out of eight evenly distributed holes at the end of the pipe to the inner wall of the reservoir. This special watergame is the so called "Lighttower" effect. StandThe known feet from the "Eisdecken" find its very way even to the Eisbecher and sustain every combination with a solid stand. MountingsThere are two mountings placed above and under the pipe for fastening the lot in the casing. The holes in this mounting have a spacing of a 120/140 cooling fan.You can reduce the width of the mountings up to the width of the reservoir and there are three M4 threads availaible per mounting for fastening if you would rather not mount the reservoir at the fan space. These mountings are easily removeable especially when not being used. You will find these mountings on all 20 reservoirs. Lighting moduleThe lighting modules consist of plexi and enable the lighting with a 5mm LED. These modules can be installed into all 1/4" holes. They are being used in the lid and occasionally in the socket of the reservoir. This facilitates a unique way to your personalised lighting effects. MaterialAll models of the reservoir are availaible in acetal and plexi. So there is something for everone. Measurements All reservoirs are availaible in two different sizes: the 150mm version and the 10cm bigger 250mm version. The smaller reservoir comes with only one standpipe coming from the bottom because of its size and the bigger reservoir comes with two: one coming from the top and the other one from the bottom. The Eisbecher Lite This reservoir is being operated with a seperate pump as well but it slightly differentiates itself from its other four siblings. Instead of the Bubble Down and the standpipe Alphacool has installed a bar in the middle that intercepts all turbulences of the water. Further, this bar with the Alphacool Logo in the Plexi version can be lighted with three LEDs - a true eyecatcher for every system. The step towards perfectionThe new Alphacool AGB comes in three different models. You can either connect a Laing DDC, the Alphacool DC-LT or the Laing D5/Alphacool VPP655 at the backplate depending on the model which you use. The brushed plate provides an optical finishing touch which is underlined by the high quality processing. The front consists of a scretch-secure soft-touch surface painted in black-matt. The Eisfach is mounted in two of the front 5,25" bays which provides a good overview of the container and the fill level is easily being checked through the lighted window at the back. Additionally, the Alphacool logo in the front can be lighted by connecting the 3-pin connector with a power source. A lot of details complement the first impression! Two 1/4" holes at the top side are available for the first filling. To refill you can simply remove and extract the fillport in the front and two 1/4" holes at the bottom side facilitate the draining of the liquid. There are two lighting modules at the right hand side at the back of the container behind the window for 5mm LEDs. This provides a unique opportunity for personalised lighting and optic. Further two holes at the left hand side provide additional opportunities to fill or drain the liquid. The last two 1/4" threads are used to fill or drain the container. A Bubble Down module has been placed behind the inlet to prevent turbulences that could lead air into the watercircle. Everyone who uses watercooling needs a radiator, and everyone has different requirements for the heat exchanger. Naturally, consumers want the product that's best in class. The Alphacool NexXxoS radiators are here to challenge the best in their class, and be crowned the best radiators in every area and size. No more back and forth - with Alphacool NexXxoS radiators, you know what you're getting! Alphacool has been a trendsetter on the scene for developing and improving radiators for years. That's why these models are among the first radiators to really earn the descriptor "full copper"! All the main elements, not just the fins and channels, but also the channel heads are made of copper. Material-wise, this is a big advantage, and one where other radiators fall by the wayside. The Alphacool NexXxoS X-Flow radiators set themselves apart significantly from conventional radiators in their construction. The X-Flow radiators are built for high flow rates. The slanted copper chambers on either side are built identically. This means the water can flow through all the channels at the same time until it flows into the opposite chamber and leaves the radiator. Freedom in the installation is one of the central points on which Alphacool's development department focused. Both copper chambers have three 1/4" threads. That means connections can be attached on the top, bottom and at the front or back (not on the NexXxoS ST30). Fewer angles are needed, which increases the flow rate and offers more options in the installation. Here, too, Alphacool carries the standard sizes of the 120mm series. Different strengths, 30mm, 45mm and 60mm underscore the wide spectrum that these radiators cover. The installation of the radiators, as well as the fans and radiator faceplates, is easy to do with this series: the M3 threads are standard in the radiator sector, affordable and available in all lengths. Even the dreaded mishap of turning the screws in too deeply won't lead to costly damage with this radiator: an inner protective edge stops the screw before it can come into contact with the fins. The fin spacing was chosen so that the radiator could reach its optimal cooling performance even with slow or medium-speed fans. This is not only comfortable in terms of background noise, but also puts no constraints on the choice of fans.
