Furthermore, this quick-release coupling uses screw caps that are unlike other screw caps. These prevent the fitting from opening easily due to vibrations or movements. The double seal guarantees maximum tightness. The quick release fittings do not only stand for safety, but also for longevity. The Alphacool HF quick release coupling set TPV with two G1/4" male threads can be screwed directly onto components. Instead of mounting the quick connector on a tube via connectors, it can now be placed directly on a radiator or cooler to save space. Made of nylon and not brass?Nylon is extremely strong and the entire quick disconnect is ultra-lightweight with a total weight of only 20g. Additionally, nylon is non-conductive. This means you don't have to worry about the quick release coming into contact with any components during installation. This is because the temperature resistance of nylon is also extremely high. Twist lock instead of click lockThe connector is compatible with all previous quick-release fasteners with twist locks. Furthermore, it offers a higher level of safety compared to a click lock, as it cannot pop open due to incorrect handling. The fixed screw connection cannot come loose without direct action. Every water cooling system requires either soft or hard tubing to connect the individual components such as radiators, waterblocks and reservoirs. PVC is usually used for soft tubing it has many fantastic properties that make it easy to work with and it is cheap. However, Alphacool is now bringing a new material from the Alphacool Enterprise Solutions series across to the everyday user. This tubing is called Alphacool AlphaTube TPV and is the choice of tubing for industries. What is the advantage of TPV?Compared to PVC hoses, the AlphaTube TPV hoses offer various advantages for water cooling. It is much more resistant to acids and alkalis. It is also much more temperature resistant than PVC tubing. The Alphacool AlphaTube TPV can withstand temperatures up to 155°C. While PVC hoses begin to warp at higher water temperatures. This means areas with tighter bends will warp but the TPV hose remains stable in its shape. This eliminates the risk of kinks in tubing and the restriction of flow. How is AlphaTube TPV installed?The Alphacool AlphaTube TPV hose is as easy and simple to install as any other PVC hose. It is slightly stiffer, but only very slightly. Handling the TPV hose is just as simple as any other soft tubing. What is special about a tpv hose?The Alphacool AlphaTube TPV is characterised by its high resistance to acids, bases and external influences. In addition, the hose has an extraordinary longevity that far surpasses that of PVC hoses. The matt black hose also offers a discreet velvet look. However, Alphacool is now bringing a new material from the Alphacool Enterprise Solutions series across to the everyday user. This tubing is called Alphacool AlphaTube TPV and is the choice of tubing for industries. What is the advantage of TPV?Compared to PVC hoses, the AlphaTube TPV hoses offer various advantages for water cooling. It is much more resistant to acids and alkalis. It is also much more temperature resistant than PVC tubing. The Alphacool AlphaTube TPV can withstand temperatures up to 155°C. While PVC hoses begin to warp at higher water temperatures. This means areas with tighter bends will warp but the TPV hose remains stable in its shape. This eliminates the risk of kinks in tubing and the restriction of flow. Fits all hard metal tubes with an outer diameter of 13mm. On the opposite side of the connector is the standard 1/4" thread. Available in deep black and chrome. First, the swivel nut is placed onto the tube, followed by a plastic plate which protects the O-ring and then the thick O-ring itself. Now the tube can easily be inserted into the attachment, where the second O-ring is tightly fitted to the tube. The final step is to slide the swivel nut onto the attachment and screw it into place. Due to its size, the swivel nut is not so easy to screw into place tightly. It can also be mounted in a 3,5” bay. In either case, the special decoupling screws included with the Eisstation are used for mounting it. This minimises the transfer of vibrations to the case, lowering the operating volume significantly. Another installation option is the included Velcro fastener. One part of the Velcro is glued to the bottom of the Eisstation, while the other part is glued to the case. Then all that’s left is to press the Eisstation’s bottom against the corresponding Velcro on the case. The size of the Velcro ensures secure positioning even during transport. The Eisstation can be mounted vertically or horizontally, depending on personal taste and available space.Connection possibilitiesThere are four possibilities for connection. An IN and an OUT with G1/4 threads are located on the top, with the illuminated logo. In the cap, there is one G1/4” and one G3/8” connection available. The G3/8” connection, with its larger size, simplifies filling the Eisstation and can also serve as a lighting module for 5mm LEDs. The Alphacool Eisrohr PETG HardTube givse the user the possibility to create a very special look. With a wall thickness of 3 mm, the tubes are very strong, but can still be bent without great effort and they are easy to fit. PETG HardTubes are probably the easiest to bend compared to those made of other materials. They require significantly less heat than PMMA HardTubes, for example. The Alphacool Eisrohr PETG HardTubes are absolutely clear and will look great in almost every water cooling loop.
