With the Alphacool Eisstation, you get a compact reservoir that fits into nearly any case. It comes in three different versions. A DDC, a D5, and a DC-LT version are available. This version is incl. Illuminated logo and LED mounting optionsMounting possibilitiesThe installation options are numerous and comprehensive. The Eisstation can be screwed onto a 2.5” SSD bracket. It can also be mounted in a 3,5” bay. In either case, the special decoupling screws included with the Eisstation are used for mounting it. This minimises the transfer of vibrations to the case, lowering the operating volume significantly. Another installation option is the included Velcro fastener. One part of the Velcro is glued to the bottom of the Eisstation, while the other part is glued to the case. Then all that’s left is to press the Eisstation’s bottom against the corresponding Velcro on the case. The size of the Velcro ensures secure positioning even during transport. The Eisstation can be mounted vertically or horizontally, depending on personal taste and available space.Connection possibilitiesThere are four possibilities for connection. An IN and an OUT with G1/4 threads are located on the top, with the illuminated logo. In the cap, there is one G1/4” and one G3/8” connection available. The G3/8” connection, with its larger size, simplifies filling the Eisstation and can also serve as a lighting module for 5mm LEDs. Two additional 5mm LED places can be found in the bottom of the reservoir and illuminate the water-filled portion from below.A highlight of the Eisstation is the materials it is composed of. The bottom portion has a high-quality soft-touch surface which gives it an outstanding look and feel. The upper portion and the reservoir itself are not made of simple, easily breakable Plexiglas, but rather of extremely sturdy Nylon. While normal reservoirs made of glass or Plexiglas can break or crack due to falls, even from a small height, or due to improper handling, it is nearly impossible to damage the Eisstation’s clear container. The Alphacool Eisrohr PETG HardTube givse the user the possibility to create a very special look. With a wall thickness of 3 mm, the tubes are very strong, but can still be bent without great effort and they are easy to fit. PETG HardTubes are probably the easiest to bend compared to those made of other materials. They require significantly less heat than PMMA HardTubes, for example. The Alphacool Eisrohr PETG HardTubes are absolutely clear and will look great in almost every water cooling loop. The Alphacool NexXxoS GPX Pro backplate for the Alphacool GPX Pro Solo GPU cooler. The backplate serves to stabilise and evenly distribute the contact pressure. In combination with a suitable optional available heat conduction pad, the bending of the PCB due to the back pressure can be prevented. The increased number of fin rows and their shortening also results in a much more efficient utilization of the cooling surface. Alphacool is uncompromising in its choice of materials and is the only manufacturer in the world that uses only copper for all water-bearing parts in the radiator. The pre-chambers, cooling fins and cooling channels are made of pure copper. Only the fitting threads (made of brass) and the outer casing of the radiator (made of sheet steel) are made of other materials.HPE = High PerformanceThe HPE radiators are based on the NexXxoS series. But what is new? The HPE variant has additional cooling channels and a very high fin density. Due to the technical design, the cooling capacity increases significantly without restricting the water flow within the radiator. If the radiator is equipped with fans on both sides in push/pull operation, it is possible to achieve a significant temperature reduction compared to standard radiators.X-Flow instead of U-FlowThe water flow in classic PC radiators is U-shaped. This means that the water inlet and outlet are on the same side on the radiator. This has certain advantages in the normal PC, however, it is difficult to set up a reasonable cooling loop like this in an extremely flat server. Due to the X-Flow technology, the input and output are located on the opposite sides. This makes it very easy to create a loop in the server rack. For example, you could go out from one side, directly into a CPU, then into one or more graphics cards and the pump, then back to the radiator on the other side.Powerful cooling performanceTo maximise the performance of the radiator, Alphacool reaches deep into its bag of tricks and uses pure copper for the cooling fins, cooling channels and pre-chambers. Due to the high thermal conductivity of 400 W/mK (in comparison: aluminium 236 W/mK). The high fin density of the radiator with a fin spacing of 15 FPI enables an optimal flow of air. All cooling fins are additionally equipped with small flaps. These are tiny wings that direct the airflow in the desired direction and ensure controlled air turbulence. This increases the cooling capacity and minimises the possible noise created by airflow.Connection options & mountingThe NexXxoS HPE radiators each have three IN or OUT connections with G1/4" threads. All screws for mounting in the case and for mounting the fans are included with the radiator. Additional screws are not usually required.Safety firstThe NexXxoS HPE radiator has special protective plates placed under all mounting holes to prevent the screws from being screwed in too deeply. This protects the cooling fins and water channels underneath from damage.Patented screw plugsAll NexXxoS HPE X-Flow radiators use Alphacool's patented stop fittings. Anyone who has mounted a radiator on the front or in the roof of a case is familiar with the fact that protruding stop fittings can stop the radiator from sitting flush. With the patented stop fittings, Alphacool offers an excellent solution. The stop fittings are completely recessed in the radiator and sit flush with its surface. This means that nothing stands in the way of a clean installation. Of course, the radiators also look much more elegant with the flat stop fittings. Sounds normal, but this radiator shows a different performance profile than standard radiators: At 500rpm the Monsta is slightly better than its 60mm brother, but with increasing fan speed the difference increases: At 800rpm the Monsta already performs much better, and at 1200rpm a Monsta radiator is performing almost as well as a 60mm thick radiator with one fan more, at the same fan speed!This is truly amazing, and all that at this affordable price!
